Unleash Power For The People
Foundation

Chapter II- Aggregate like-minded people
In order to focus our efforts in a targeted manner, the aggregation of like-minded people is very important. For
this reason, we have targeted 2 segments of people that we believe have a “common” interest in mind. Those
segments are Environmentalists and Poverty Prevention Advocates. Because Unleash Power For The People
Foundation addresses both issues, we have found that people are drawn by either or both messages.
All of our websites, groups, and messages have to do with a simple deliverable which is providing a renewable
power generator to poor communities in the world without electricity. This helps the environment by
demonstrating the capabilities of renewable power and by also showing the “benefits” behind renewable power.
It also provides a real-life example of how renewable power is attainable for everyday individuals and hopefully
will contribute to more renewable power purchases. In addition, the education aspect behind the activities help
add to the spreading of the message that our resources are limited and that renewable power must be
expanded in order to save the earth for our future children.
Likewise, all of our websites, groups, and messages support the goal of eliminating poverty in the world. It is
the belief of the organization that true poverty resolution requires a massive investment into renewable energy
or the 2 Billion poor in the world will never have a chance to compete with the more developed country. All one
has to do is witness the attention that $145 oil has brought throughout the world to discover how important
energy is to the economies, the food supply, and the general well-being of the world. It is our belief that if one
cares about those that live in poverty, then those same people have a similar goal with those that care about
the smog, pollution, devastating landscapes, etc that come with the burning of fossil fuels as our primary source
of energy.
Consequently, THE plan is to continue to aggregate as many people as possible and specifically target those
that care about the “greenness” of our world along with those that care about our “poor”.
Chapter I- Get Attention
The ability to get attention is critical for this plan to succeed. This
can happen in many ways, but everyone can help to make it
happen. The reasons are somewhat obvious as to why it is
necessary, but the “ways” that each can help is less obvious.

Chapter III- Establish Credibility
Other than my very close friends and family, we recognize that people are naturally skeptical of anyone that
wants to “change the world”. There are many financial scams and less than trustworthy organizations in the
world and therein lies the dilemma on how exactly does one “establish credibility”. The beautiful thing about the
internet is that it is a medium to access a large part of the world relatively inexpensively. So finding a way to
differentiate and demonstrate our core values has to both written in words AND shown in actual action.
One of the things that we have been careful to do is to make sure that we took our time and got our first
community finished before we attempted to spread further into new communities. This was important for 2
reasons, one because people couldn’t see the whole picture if they didn’t have something tangible to relate to
and two because people need to see the commitment of the people behind the mission.
The Foundation is now 5 months old and there are few that now doubt the commitment of the people behind the
mission. We have been aggressive and relentless in getting the message out, building infrastructure to
support the many actions, and donating our own money to show that we “care” that the Foundation succeeds.
In fact, over 75% of the money raised so far has been donated by the founders of the foundation to show the
desire to see it take hold.
With each day and each future endeavor we should continue to build credibility. In fact, we will open our
finances to anyone who requests at any time. And remember one of the things that is most important to how
this charitable foundation was formed was that there are NO salaries, NO office expenses, and NO marketing
expenses. Everything that happens does so because of people that “donate” either their time, money, energy,
or ideas. All of the money that comes into the organization goes DIRECTLY to buy renewable power generators
for those poor communities that we support.
Chapter IV- Paint the Vision
Vision is the key to people understanding any message. They have to know not just where things are, but
where they are heading. At Unleash Power For The People we understand this and in fact embrace the
concept. We have carefully selected our method of reaching our audience, build a model to be replicable and
viral, and desire to truly be part of change the way in which we live in the future.
The mission of the Foundation is:
Unleash the Power For the People Foundation is a charitable organization that raises money for the purpose of
enabling people to help those that are truly impoverished in the world. Channeling the power of people to
provide power for people.
We believe that people are inherently good, but many times have been conditioned to accept things as “reality”
that in fact are not actually reality. People have come to believe that their fates are ruled by others that are
more powerful, when in fact we believe that the individual has more power than they realize. Specifically relating
to global warming and poverty eradication, we believe that every individual CAN make a difference. If we could
aggregate their efforts with others that believe about certain ideas exactly as they believe, then we can make a
dent in our future for good.
Our vision of the world is that by World Earth Day 2070 (the centennial) we have a chance to have a world that
produces dramatically more energy by renewable sources than by carbon based sources. We hope by that day
that the kids of the time ask “Dad, did you really burn gasoline in the car? Wasn’t that dangerous?”
Our vision of the world is that everyone has enough clean water to drink, plenty of food to eat, and an
education. We believe that by starting with something small such as one community getting a renewable power
generator to power a classroom for their children, that the world will discover the value of replicating the
process. We believe that once people understand the “power” behind renewable power, then they will demand
that their respective governments take action to massively implement large scale investments to make electricity
virtually free (and along with it desalinization for clean water and more farmland for food).
Our vision of the world is also positive. We choose to look at the glass as half full. While others point out what
will happen if things go negatively, we are proud to point out the way forward and what CAN be done to solve
our largest issues. We can solve both poverty and global warming, it is that simple. We must work hard to do it
though, and at Unleash Power For The People Foundation we will definitely do our part and also will encourage
others to do the same.
Here is a clip from one of our supporters that we believe accurately sums up our thoughts:
“President John Kennedy said “It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.” This is precisely the
reason I was drawn to “Unleash Power for the People.” The organization does just that---it tries to solve the
problems of some of our planet’s poorest inhabitants with solutions on a very personal level. Rather than pour
money into grandiose schemes, it seeks to help improve the lives of small groups of people by supplying them
with free electricity supplied through solar power. Light for a small school. Power for a modest generator.
Electric pumps to provide water. All using free, renewable power, from an organization which uses ALL its
resources to meet these ends. (All administrative costs are covered by interest income.) Helping a small group
here, then one there, then one somewhere else---drops that fill the bucket. I like the approach.”

50Terawatts.com is a site that is developed to explain how the environmental and poverty solution issues are intertwined together. By showing how the missions of each can benefit the other, 50Terawatts.com hopes to bring the world together and solve both problems for good. 50Terawatts.com is run by the non-profit 501c3 corporation Unleash Power For The People Foundation. All proceeds from this site go directly to the charity for energy purchases to benefit poor communities in the world that don't have access to electricity.

Chapter V- Get Volunteers to Help
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any movement. There are multiple reasons why this is true, but none more true
than the fact that it validates the passion within a cause. When people volunteer they demonstrate they are
willing to “work” in exchange for nothing more than inner satisfaction of the greater cause/mission. That is
extremely powerful and demonstrates a lot to others that may not be sure of the validity of the organization.
Also of course, volunteers are also the lifeblood because they enable an organization to grow by doing the
things that people normally get paid to do. It is people’s hearts, minds, and energy that leverages the
organization by doing everything that normally costs money.
At Unleash Power For The People we are ENTIRELY volunteer. Not one person gets paid to do anything,
therefore the speed that we move will depend on how many people we get to volunteer. This is an important
concept to us because as the name implies, we want to “unleash power” for the people. The name was chosen
intentionally as a double-meaning, one that means to unleash both the power of the earth and the power of the
individual. And of course, this power that does get unleashed has the potential to provide many wonderful
benefits to both the environment and to the people that most need help.
Volunteering can involve simple things like telling a friend or co-workers about the mission to becoming a
manager of a project or community. It can entail doing something complicated or technical, something that is
organizational or managerial, or simply something that is artistic or creative. We need everything that one can
think of, so if you have a skill, a passion, a desire to learn, a gift, a good heart, or just your mind; please don’t
hesitate to contact us and let us know that you would like to volunteer!
Chapter VI- Show the relationship between Action and Results
Define, Organize, and Communicate
Results usually don’t happen by accident. Results are primarily a function of good planning, organization, and
execution of coordinated “actions”. Actions that are planned properly will lead to results if the right dynamics are
present.
In order for an organization to achieve its desired results the following steps must be present:
A: Definition of the objectives
B: Organization of the actions needed and how people can act
C: Communication of the incremental results
Good definition, organization, and communication will lead to quality results and confidence in the overall plan.
People will gain confidence in their own abilities and in others’ abilities too. This will lead subsequent efforts to
become more coordinated and thus lead to even better future results.
If At First You Don’t Succeed
In a perfect world everything would be executed properly, however we happen to live in a non-perfect world.
Therefore, we also believe that “if at first you don’t succeed, try try again!” By adding this philosophy we believe
that we can encourage people to reach beyond their comfort zone and to break new barriers. The best way to
learn is to make an effort, and the only way to succeed is to try first.
To summarize, if you want results… You first need to take action… Then define, organize, and communicate to
provide you with tools necessary to turn your action into success.
Chapter VII- Develop Monetization Methods
In order to execute our plan we need to purchase power generators for poor communities in the world. This
costs money. And if we want to replicate the process, then we need to come up with a way to generate money
so that we can make these purchases. The most common and significant form of raising money for a non-profit
is through donations, and of course we need them like everyone else. But we don’t want to limit ourselves to
only donations because there are many people in the world that are unable to donate money (and are willing to
help in other ways). Here is a list of things that we have started to monetize each individual’s abilities and
desires:
A: Donations-small ($10 to $1000)
B: Donations-large ($1000 and up)
C: Advertising with us (events, websites, promotions)
D: Shopping through our sites (iGive, ClubShop, UnleashShop)
E: Searching through our google links (ie…www.greenhomepage.net)
F: Clicking on ads throughout any of our websites
G: Fundraising by engaging friends, school, family, networks, etc
H: Purchasing merchandise or letting others know of our merchandise
Remember that each person can contribute in some way even if it is just clicking on an ad or using our google
search to do their searches. Also, many younger people don’t have the funds to donate but do have the ability
to do something fun like a “pennies for poverty” collection at school. These types of fundraising events are
significant in that they educate as much as they raise money, and that education will benefit everyone in the long
run. Plus every dollar counts, so don’t hesitate to send even the smallest amount because it is valued for what it
contributes to the goals and also for its demonstration of your belief in the mission. We need people’s hearts in
addition to money, so even small things make a difference!
Chapter VIII- Build Confidence so Success will result
Confidence is vital to encouraging success. You can have success without confidence, but it will be on a much
more limited basis. The reason is that people move more boldly when they are confident that their action will
result in success. With bolder actions comes greater results and each person can reach higher.
In addition, other people are attracted by confidence as it is human nature to be drawn to others that appear to
know how to succeed. Building a network of individuals that are confident in their efforts, in the efforts of their co-
supporters, and in the organization itself is vital to reaching our lofty goals and mission.
Unleash Power For The People was designed so that its mission is both achievable and tangible, however it will
take many steps to build the underlying “foundation” for the Foundation. Confidence building will play an integral
role in the many efforts that are undertaken because we completely understand the necessity of demonstrating
that the efforts of our supporters will yield benefits to the mission.
The goals will start small so that confidence building can occur, but with each success will come even greater
confidence in future efforts. In the first 5 months we have demonstrated that we:
1. are committed to the mission
2. can build interest of others (over 25,000 people reached)
3. can deliver on a promise/commitment to a community
4. can operate virtually and still deliver to the opposite side of the world
5. can build worldwide interest (3 chapters set up in India, UK, Indonesia)
6. can appeal to all ages (3 school groups and many seniors)
7. can raise money ($20,000 in 5 months from scratch with no model)
8. can help raise awareness of the environment through our messages
9. can help raise awareness of the impoverished through our messages
10. can HELP a poor community with electricity where NONE existed before
We will have more lofty goals as time goes on, but it will always be dependent on our confidence to deliver.
Fortunately we can move as fast as each of you want us to, and judging by the interest that the people that
demonstrated, we think acceleration is quite possible!
Chapter IX- Coordinate the infrastructure of Volunteers, Community, and Fundraisers
Coordination of the infrastructure of the organization is a challenge because it is completely “virtual”. “Virtual” in
the sense that we are located on computers and in the homes of our many supporters with no offices to go to in
order to accomplish our mission. By being virtual we can operate throughout the world and truly touch every
corner of the earth. We can operate an organization that can focus its resources directly to the communities that
we are trying to help.
However even though we are a virtual organization, we still have to follow the same rules of coordination. We
must make sure that our volunteers do the things that they have volunteered for, that we find and coordinate
properly with the communities that we serve, and that we use our talents to raise money electronically. We are
no different than other organizations in the infrastructural execution of our mission, we are just different in the
way that we implement it. In fact, it could be argued that we are a stronger organization because we HAVE to
focus on this coordination or else nothing would get done.
Over time we will have managers, clerical support, technological support, and many other aspect of an
organization; but because it will always be all-volunteer and virtually located, we will always have an advantage of
operating a 21st century business model. This should enable us to achieve something that both furthers our
mission and enhances our ability to demonstrate our ability to deliver results.
Chapter IX- Coordinate the infrastructure of Volunteers, Community, and Fundraisers
Chapter X- Set Benchmarks to Achieve at different levels
Setting benchmarks to achieve is useful for everyone to know what the “next” step is going to be. It is the easiest
part of THE plan because it just builds on the prior success of the last steps taken. But with each new set of
benchmarks, an organization will give its members what the next goals are and how they relate to the overall
mission. It is what everyone focuses on and what they relate success or failure to. By showing people what
happens “next” it gives them the understanding of what their efforts are going towards.
Next Benchmark- 3 more new communities to deliver renewable generators to
A: Raise our number of communities served to 3 from 1
-i. UK Chapter will focus on a community in Mozambique, Africa
-ii. India Chapter will focus on a community in India
-iii. Whole organization will focus on a “supporter’s choice” community to be decided through
an online poll of the Unleash Supporters
B: Raise our fundraising efforts to $60,000 from $20,000 (same $20,000 per community served)
C: Increase our awareness of our groups and supporter base
-i. increase to 50,000 members in the various groups from 25,000
-ii. increase to 5000 supporters from 2000
Chapter XI- Execute THE Plan
The most important part of any plan is the determination to execute it. There are always hurdles and obstacles
that come up that could derail a plan, but good organizations find ways to overcome them. Execution of any plan
is also a matter of focus. Keeping the focus on the aspects of the plan will help keep it from spiraling into areas
that are not significant to the mission.
We plan on executing THE Plan at Unleash Power For The People and by keeping our focus and determination
strong, we are confident that we will achieve results that will make all of our supporters and communities feel the
benefits that we intend to deliver.
Now its time to execute, will you join us?
Chapter XII- Present the Results
Stay tuned… Whether you just watch or participate, you will benefit by following our progress!
Chapter XIII- Replicate Steps 1 thru 12
And the world will be changed for “good”!!!
